BECOME A MEMBER
One of the functions of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of the Eastern Caribbean is to regulate the practice
of Accountancy in the Eastern Caribbean. When you become
amember you become certified to practice
as a Chartered Accountant.
To qualify as a member you must:
· Be an accountant already in practice in a member state on
the date of the coming into force of the ICAEC Agreement
and who is a member of a parent body
·
Be an accountant who is a resident in a member state on the
date of the coming into force of the ICAEC Agreement and
who is a member of a parent body,though not in practice
· Be an accountant who is a resident or citizen of
a member state and who is a member of a parent body
· Have successfully passed the accountancy examinations conducted
by the Institute or by some other body on behalf
of
the Institute for the election of chartered membership and are awarded a certificate
by the Institute.
· Any other person who is granted a certificate under Article
14 of the ICAEC Agreement.
To begin the process
of applying for membership in the ICAEC simply download the
application form, complete it and forward to the ICAEC (St.
Kitts-Nevis
Branch).
Completed application form sent to the branch will
be reviewed at the Branch level and the necessary
background checks done by the Branch.
Applicants who are
approved for membership in ICAEC will be provided with a
membership certificate. Practising certificates
will be issued to those applicants with a minimum
of three years relevant work experience in a supervised environment
and upon payment of the relevant fee.
